Job Description

We're looking for a Chief of Staff to work directly with the founders and help turn our biggest priorities into results. You'll sit at the center of the company, connecting strategy to execution across strategic operations, recruiting, and company building.

Your focus will be building the operating systems that help Casco scale: translating founder priorities into clear plans, driving cross-functional initiatives, strengthening how the team plans and communicates, and helping us hire and onboard exceptional people. As Casco grows, so will your scope. This is a hands-on operating role for someone who wants broad ownership, direct access to the founders, and a steep learning curve, not a purely advisory position.

This is a full-time, in-office role based in San Francisco. It is not a remote position.

## What You'll Actually Do

### Strategic Operations

- Turn company priorities into clear plans, owners, milestones, and decisions

- Build and run the operating cadence that keeps the team aligned, including planning, leadership meetings, and cross-functional follow-through

- Prepare agendas, decision memos, and action tracking so meetings lead to clear outcomes

- Build dashboards and reporting that give the founders a clear view of company performance, priorities, and risks

- Lead cross-functional initiatives from definition through execution, keeping stakeholders aligned and removing blockers

- Find bottlenecks and unclear ownership across the business, then drive practical solutions through to completion

- Create lightweight processes, documentation, and automations that help the company operate effectively as it grows

- Take ownership of high-priority projects that do not fit neatly inside one function

### Company Building

- Own recruiting operations from candidate outreach and interview coordination through closing and onboarding

- Build a thoughtful onboarding experience that helps new teammates become effective quickly

- Strengthen internal communication, team rituals, and planning practices as the company grows

- Help define and reinforce the culture, standards, and ways of working that make Casco a great place to do ambitious work

- Plan team meetings, offsites, and other moments that improve alignment and connection

- Represent the founders thoughtfully with candidates, advisors, partners, and the broader security community

- Act as a force multiplier wherever the company needs it most. Your priorities will change, but your job will stay the same: identify the highest-leverage work and move it forward

## What We're Looking For

- 2–5 years of experience in a demanding, high-ownership environment such as an early-stage startup, consulting, investment banking, business operations, program management, or a prior Chief of Staff role

- High agency and resourcefulness: you notice what needs to happen, figure out how to make it happen, and close the loop without waiting for a detailed playbook

- Excellent written and verbal communication, from a concise internal update to a customer-ready narrative

- Strong analytical judgment and the ability to bring structure to ambiguous problems

- Exceptional organization and attention to detail across several fast-moving workstreams

- High EQ, low ego, and the judgment to earn trust with teammates and external partners

- Comfort using AI and automation tools to research, build, and operate faster

- Genuine interest in AI, cybersecurity, and building an early-stage company

- Ability to work in person with the team in San Francisco

Experience in cybersecurity, developer tools, or B2B SaaS is helpful, but not required. We're more interested in your trajectory, judgment, and ability to get important things done.
