Job Description

About us

Manufact is Vercel for MCP.
We are building the MCP cloud platform to get any product ready for Claude Connectors marketplace, ChatGPT App Store and any AI agent that supports MCP.
Manufact Cloud usage is more than doubling every month.

We're the team behind mcp-use SDK (next.js for MCP), the open-source framework for building MCP Apps with 10k Github stars and 8M+ downloads across python and typescript.
Used by 20% of US 500 like NASA, SAP, NVIDIA and more than 5,000 companies.

We raised $6.3M seed in 4 days before YC demo day. Our lead investor is PeakXV (best dev-tools VC out there), and we have the best angels, including the founders of Supabase.

Our focus: capture a significant share of global AI tool calls that flow through Manufact.

About the role

We're looking for a Developer Advocate who also owns partnerships with other dev tools / SDKs end-to-end.
This role blends technical storytelling with building real integrations and real relationships across the AI dev-tools ecosystem.
One week you're shipping a demo that connects the mcp-use SDK or Manufact Cloud to a partner's product, the next you're on stage at a meetup, then writing the blog post and docs that make it all land.
You'll run several efforts in parallel and set the pace yourself.

What you'll do

  • Identify collaboration opportunities with other dev tools and AI infra companies, reach out, and drive each one from first conversation to shipped result.
  • Build demos and integrations between the mcp-use SDK / Manufact Cloud and partner products.
  • Create and publish technical content across formats: videos, demos, GitHub examples, blog posts, and docs.
  • Move multiple partnership and content efforts forward at once, owning the timeline for each.
  • Collaborate with engineering and marketing to shape how we position technical features and communicate product value.
  • Represent Manufact at technical conferences, meetups, and podcasts, and bring developer feedback back to the team.
  • Help define and evolve our developer-facing voice, presence, and community strategy as we scale.

Requirements

  • Strong software engineering fundamentals. You're comfortable building demos, integrations, and lightweight apps on your own.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication. You can make complex technical topics clear and compelling.
  • Comfortable creating content across written, video, and live formats.
  • Self-directed. You can run several workstreams in parallel without being managed.
  • Based in or willing to relocate to San Francisco.
  • You've used the mcp-use SDK / tried Manufact before applying.

Nice to have

  • Hands-on experience with MCP, agents, or generative AI. Contributions to modelcontextprotocol/* or MCP servers you've built are a strong signal.
  • Existing credibility in developer communities (active on X/GitHub, a personal blog, OSS you maintain, talks you've given).
  • Experience running partnerships, integrations, or co-marketing with other companies.
  • Prior developer advocacy, DevRel, or developer-facing engineering experience.

What you can expect at Manufact

  • Burn a lot of tokens
  • Above market equity
  • Premium medical + dependent coverage
  • Small, trusting team of senior + staff engineers
  • Unlimited PTO
  • 401k + company match
  • Relocation assistance
