Besimple AI is building the data and benchmark infrastructure for the next generation of voice AI. We help AI understand people from all languages and accents.

The founders are ex-Meta product and engineering leaders, from MIT and Brown University. We are a small, high-ownership team working directly with frontier AI labs to push state-of-the-art on audio models.

About the Role

We are hiring a Growth Operations Lead, Contributor Supply to own the growth of qualified contributors on our platform.

Your mission is to increase the number of high-quality contributors who join our platform, pass qualification, complete approved work, and continue contributing over time. This is not a generic marketing role. You will own the full contributor growth funnel across acquisition, onboarding, activation, referral, and retention.

You will experiment across paid ads, UGC, influencer campaigns, community channels, referral programs, partnerships, and outbound sourcing. You will also work closely with operations and QA to make sure we are not just acquiring more contributors, but acquiring the right contributors.

The ideal candidate is a scrappy growth operator who combines analytical rigor, strong execution, marketplace intuition, and empathy for contributors.

What You’ll Do

  • Own contributor growth across priority languages, locales, and contributor profiles.
  • Build and manage acquisition channels including paid ads, UGC, influencer marketing, referrals, communities, agencies, universities, and gig platforms.
  • Design and run experiments to improve the funnel from landing page visit → signup → qualification → first approved task → repeat contribution.
  • Develop localized growth playbooks for different languages, countries, and contributor segments.
  • Create and optimize referral programs that drive high-quality contributor growth without encouraging low-quality or fraudulent signups.
  • Work with creators, micro-influencers, community leaders, and partners to recruit contributors at scale.
  • Track and improve key metrics such as cost per qualified contributor, cost per approved audio hour, qualification rate, activation rate, retention, and referral conversion.
  • Partner with operations and QA teams to understand contributor quality, rejection reasons, fraud patterns, and supply gaps.
  • Write and test contributor-facing messaging, landing pages, onboarding flows, and campaign creative.
  • Identify bottlenecks in contributor onboarding and work with product / ops to reduce friction.
  • Build repeatable systems for launching new contributor categories and new locale-specific supply pools.

What We’re Looking For

  • 2–6+ years of experience in growth, marketplace operations, creator growth, supply acquisition, performance marketing, or growth operations.
  • Experience growing the supply side of a marketplace, creator platform, gig platform, contributor network, or high-volume contractor platform.
  • Strong analytical ability; comfortable working with funnel metrics, CAC, cohorts, spreadsheets, dashboards, and experiment design.
  • Hands-on experience with at least two of the following: paid acquisition, influencer / UGC marketing, referral programs, community growth, partnerships, lifecycle marketing, or outbound sourcing.
  • Strong execution ability; you are willing to personally launch campaigns, contact creators, write copy, analyze data, and iterate quickly.
  • Good judgment around contributor quality, fraud, incentives, and marketplace trust.
  • Clear written communication and strong copywriting instincts.
  • Comfort operating in a fast-moving startup environment with ambiguity and limited structure.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with AI data, data annotation, audio data, speech data, transcription, voice acting, creator platforms, or crowdsourcing.
  • Experience recruiting contributors internationally or across multiple languages / locales.
  • Experience working with voice actors, podcasters, narrators, linguists, students, or online creator communities.
  • Experience with TikTok, Meta, Google, Reddit, Discord, WhatsApp, Telegram, or other community-driven acquisition channels.
  • Experience building referral or ambassador programs.
  • Experience at a marketplace or contributor platform such as Scale AI, Surge AI, Snorkel, David AI, Mercor, Appen, Turing, Outlier, Remotasks, DataAnnotation, Upwork, Fiverr, DoorDash, Uber, Instacart, Cambly, Preply, or similar companies.

What Success Looks Like

You will be successful if you can answer and improve the following questions:

  • Where do our highest-quality contributors come from?
  • How much does it cost to acquire a qualified contributor by channel?
  • Which channels produce contributors who submit approved work and return for more tasks?
  • Which referral and incentive programs grow supply without lowering quality?
  • Which contributor segments and locales should we prioritize next?
  • How do we build a repeatable contributor acquisition engine?

Example Projects

  • Launch a campaign to recruit 1,000 qualified Italian voice contributors in 30 days.
  • Test paid ads versus influencer campaigns for acquiring native speakers in a priority locale.
  • Build a referral program that rewards contributors only after referred users submit approved work.
  • Create a UGC campaign targeting voice actors, narrators, podcasters, and language communities.
  • Analyze why contributors drop off before completing their first recording and improve the onboarding flow.
  • Build a channel-by-channel dashboard showing CAC, qualification rate, approved work rate, and retention.
