Job Description

Overview:

Europe has the largest commercial vehicle market in the world - yet the financial infrastructure behind it is still stuck decades in the past. Companies spend over €1 trillion every year on fuel, EV charging and more, but the tools they rely on today are fragmented and built on legacy systems.

Rally is building an AI-native platform that combines payments, spend management and workflow automation to give businesses real-time visibility and control over their fleet spend. Starting with a universal fleet card accepted across 140,000+ fuel stations and 500,000+ charging locations across Europe, our ambition is to build the financial backbone of the real-world economy.

Backed by Y Combinator and led by two second-time founders with experience at Meta, Stripe, Booking, and Delivery Hero, our team brings together expertise across fintech, mobility and AI.

We’re looking for a Founder’s Associate to work directly with the founding team to build pipeline, close deals, and shape our go-to-market strategy from the ground up. This is a high-impact, high-ownership role and a fantastic opportunity to join one of Europe’s most exciting fintech startups. You’ll be joining a small, ambitious team where decisions are fast, responsibilities are broad, and your work will have a direct impact on revenue and the company’s success.

Responsibilities:

  • Full-Cycle Sales: Own the entire sales process end-to-end, from outbound prospecting to close. Build pipeline through creative outreach and experimentation across channels, run discovery calls and demos, manage pilots and close deals.
  • Customer Ownership: Serve as the primary point of contact for customers from the first conversation onward - building strong relationships, onboarding new customers, and handling questions, issues, and feedback as they arise.
  • GTM Strategy: Help shape our go-to-market motion from the ground up by identifying target segments, refining ICPs and continuously improving messaging, pricing, and sales approaches.
  • Market Research: Conduct research on market size, competitors, customer segments, and emerging industry trends to identify opportunities and inform strategic decisions.
  • Sales Infrastructure: Optimize our GTM systems and processes - managing CRM data, tracking pipeline metrics, refining sales materials, and leveraging data enrichment and AI workflows to improve targeting, personalization and outbound performance.
  • Product & Market Feedback: Work closely with product and engineering to translate insights from customer interactions into product improvements and roadmap priorities.
  • General Support: Building a startup means rolling up your sleeves and helping wherever needed. You’ll have the opportunity to contribute across a wide range of areas, from fundraising and recruiting to other high-impact initiatives.

Requirements:

  • Real commercial experience (0–3 years). You’ve worked in a sales team before - ideally at a startup or high-growth tech company - and have seen how modern sales works: managing pipelines, running demos, using CRMs and outreach tools.
  • Hungry and scrappy. You thrive in early-stage environments where you build the playbook rather than follow one and are excited to experiment, learn quickly, and figure things out.
  • High ownership and autonomy. We won’t hand you a daily task list. You’re comfortable setting priorities, running experiments, and driving projects forward independently.
  • Strong communicator. Clear thinker and writer who can build relationships quickly and communicate confidently with customers and teammates.
  • Highly organized. You can keep track of 100’s of moving pieces - managing pipelines, customer conversations and follow-ups without things slipping through the cracks.
  • Proven track record of excellence. This could come from academics, side projects, startups or personal achievements - but you’ve shown that you can perform at a high level.
  • Highly fluent in English and German. Other European languages are a plus.
