Job Description
We’re building the next generation of atrain: four trainees, one cohort, twelve months. Three of you learn the consulting profession from every angle in our customer teams: design, facilitation and project management. One of you learns how a consulting company runs from the inside, across Marketing & Sales, Finance, HR and IT, and gets to know the consulting profession on the way.
We’re looking for someone who doesn’t just want to learn consulting.
We’re looking for someone who wants to become really good at it, fast.
FOUR THINGS YOU’LL GET REALLY GOOD AT
01 Design Experiences, Not Slide Decks
How do you design a workshop or learning journey that changes how people work on Monday, not just how they feel on Friday afternoon?
02 Make Groups Work
What does it take to lead a room of tired, sceptical or very opinionated people to a decision? Facilitation is a craft. You’ll practise it until the room is yours.
03 Keep Complex Projects Moving
Clients, deadlines, stakeholders and a plan that never survives day one. Take ownership of a real piece of a customer project and deliver it.
04 Run the Machine Behind the Magic
How does a consulting company win clients, get paid, hire great people and keep its tools running? Rotate through the teams that make it happen and fix something real.
YOUR MISSION
Track A: Consulting Trainee
You will:
Track B: Corporate Service & Enablement Trainee
You will:
Both tracks
WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT
We’d also love to see:
WHAT WE DO CARE ABOUT IS:
You don’t need consulting experience.
You don’t need a specific degree.
You don’t need to have held a job like this before.
What matters is your ability to learn, work with people and take responsibility.
Sounds interesting? Let’s talk. All we need is your CV and a cover letter that tells us why this programme and what you want to learn. Please also indicate in our cover letter which track of the program you are interested in.

How does a consulting company win clients, get paid, hire great people and keep its tools running? Rotate through the teams that make it happen and fix something real.
YOUR MISSION
- Learn the craft by doing it, not by watching it.
- Rotate, so you see more than one way to get things done.
- Grow with a cohort, not alone.
Track A: Consulting Trainee
You will:
- Spend six months each in two of our three customer teams
- Design workshops, learning formats and materials with real customers in mind
- Co-facilitate first, then lead your own sessions
- Take ownership of project work: planning, coordination, stakeholder communication, reporting
- Learn how design, facilitation and project management fit together in one engagement
Track B: Corporate Service & Enablement Trainee
You will:
- Rotate through Marketing & Sales, Finance, HR and IT
- Work on real tasks in each area, from sales process and proposals to project calculation, recruiting and onboarding, and the tool landscape
- Learn the consulting profession from the inside through the cohort and a stint in a customer team
- Improve something that makes atrain run better, and present it to our leadership at the end of the year
Both tracks
- Start together in a shared onboarding
- Meet your cohort every month for a Cohort Day
- Help shape what becomes possible, not just what gets built
WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT
- Real ownership from day one
- A cohort of four people who are learning exactly what you are learning
- An EC Lead in every rotation and a senior mentor
- Regular skill checks and development conversations, so you always know where you stand
- A culture focused on impact rather than bureaucracy
- Long-term development opportunities far beyond the programme
We’d also love to see:
- Business-level English and German
- Experience leading, presenting or facilitating a group, whether in a student initiative, a team, a project or anywhere else
- Structured thinking and a hands-on attitude
- Curiosity about how businesses and people really work
- The ability to give and receive feedback without taking it personally
WHAT WE DO CARE ABOUT IS:
- How you think.
- How quickly you learn.
- How you work with other people.
- Whether you turn ambiguity into action.
- Whether you’re curious enough to ask the question nobody else asks.
