About the Role
CODE is looking for a Teacher Assistant for the module (SE_02) and the associated course, Introduction to Algorithms and Data Structures.
In this position, you will support our students in their learning experience by:
- Helping to create a fun, rigorous environment for students to learn.
- Answering student questions and supporting them to progress in their learning journey through office hours, Slack, Google Classroom, and during LUs.
- Ensuring that essential course feedback reaches faculty.
- Running practice sessions for students, and helping with content & challenges they are struggling with.
- (SE_02) Reviewing student hand-ins and giving them feedback throughout the semester.
- Desire to help fellow students. (Experience teaching or tutoring is a plus.)
- Some understanding and practical experience with Python. (Experience with other programming languages plus.)
- Passed the module Algorithms and Data Structures or similar.
- Being currently matriculated at a German university.
- Having a registered address in Germany and a German tax number.
- Having the right to work in Germany.
- Having a German bank account.
- Contract type: Minijob
- Duration: Fall Semester 2026 (1st Aug - 31st Jan))
- Part-time position (maximum 320 hours for the total duration of the contract)
- 15 EUR hourly rate (gross)
