Senior Frontend Engineer, Product & UX

CONUS (YC F26) is the AI knowledge layer for medical devices, connecting manufacturers with hospitals. We’re live in 17 European hospitals and are now expanding into the US.

A clinician looking for a surgical technique, a sales representative navigating a product portfolio and a hospital team maintaining its protocols need different experiences built on the same information.

We’re looking for a senior frontend engineer who can turn that complexity into clear, fast and well-crafted software. You’ll work directly with our CPO, Maximilian, and CTO, Alexander, across the CONUS web experience and our hospital and manufacturer admin panels.

This is a product engineering role with a strong UX focus. You’ll help decide how features should work, prototype interactions and ship the production implementation. Your work will include both the visible details and the frontend architecture underneath them.

What you’ll build

• Search and discovery. Make it easy to navigate device portfolios, filter product variants and find relevant documents without overwhelming the user.
• AI interactions. Develop the CONUS Intelligence experience, including how users ask questions, follow sources and move between an answer and the underlying content.
• Admin workflows. Improve how hospitals and manufacturers organize content, manage access and keep information current.
• Reusable UI foundations. Build components and interaction patterns that keep the product consistent, accessible and maintainable.
• Complete product experiences. Take features from the initial workflow through implementation, testing and refinement, including loading states, errors and responsive behavior.

What we’re looking for

• Strong React and TypeScript skills, with experience shipping and maintaining production applications.
• Good product judgment and an eye for interaction design, typography, hierarchy and visual consistency.
• The ability to turn complex workflows into interfaces that are understandable without extensive explanation.
• Confidence working with APIs, application state, frontend performance and automated tests.
• Examples of interfaces you have personally built, with a clear explanation of the decisions and tradeoffs behind them.

Experience with data-heavy B2B products, design systems or AI interfaces is particularly relevant. You do not need a formal design background, but you should care deeply about how the product works and feels.
