Job Description
We’re seeking motivated IP Enforcement Counsel (Copyright) to join our legal/business affairs team at Third Chair (X25). You’ll help our clients enforce their intellectual property rights, negotiate licenses, and recover revenue from unauthorized advertisements. You’ll negotiate a high volume of high-stakes matters on the plaintiff-side, while maintaining our high bar of work quality and client service. This is a full-time role, ideal for professionals with IP enforcement experience, eager to dive into the frontier of technology and rights enforcement for the largest enterprises in the world.
Location: Remote, anywhere in the US
Hours: Full-time (40 hours/week)
What You’ll Do
- Manage copyright enforcement matters end-to-end, from demand letter to litigation.
- Collaborate with the General Counsel and Operations team to refine and improve our legal playbook and processes.
- Collaborate with our CTO and Technology team to refine and improve our best-in-class IP enforcement platform.
- Provide general strategic legal support to our client base across entertainment companies, luxury brands, and sports.
What We’re Looking For
- Licensed attorney admitted to practice in at least one U.S. jurisdiction (active, in good standing).
- 6+ years of experience in media/entertainment law and/or copyright law.
- Proven track record in pre-litigation IP enforcement, strong negotiator in high-stakes matters.
- Extremely organized, able to juggle a high volume of cases while maintaining a high bar for quality.
- Hungry, entrepreneurial attitude with a sales-like drive to close deals.
Nice to Have
- Music industry experience working in-house for record labels / music publishers, or for law firms focused in the music industry.
- Experience working in plaintiff-side firms.
- Existing client base or network in the music industry
