Business Operations Intern

Petrarch is building an active marketplace for specialized data assets. There are three co-founders, and we have worked previously at Scale AI, Meridian AI, and other cybersecurity startups. We identified that data assets that are not easily scrapable online and contractable via data labelers are most valuable and the most in demand. At our previous startup roles, we experienced the data constraint firsthand and at Scale AI saw the illiquidity and fragmentation of the data market.

By applying to this role, you will have the chance to work in a variety of positions such as GTM, sales, finance, operations, and, within the next 3 months, can significantly improve Petrarch’s outreach to buyers and sellers.

As a Business Operations Intern, your responsibilities will include:

a) Deal Sourcing: Research and identify distressed, dissolving, or recently failed AI

startups with proprietary data assets suitable for acquisition or brokerage.

b) Buyer and Seller Outreach: Conduct outreach to prospective data buyers (AI labs,

applied AI startups, enterprises) and data sellers (distressed startups, legacy businesses) to

build Petrarch’s pipeline. You will utilize Petrarch’s in-house proprietary sales and research tools.

c) General Operations: Support day-to-day business operations, including market

research, pipeline management, documentation, and other tasks as assigned by the CEO.

You will gain significant exposure working day-to-day with the founders, and we appreciate interns who are willing to take initiative and suggest new ideas. This internship can convert into a paid full-time role.
