Founding GTM / AEs

While traditional accounting firms use AI for marginal gains, we're building an end-to-end agentic organisation where our agents do the accounting work, pulling in our human accountants at the touch points deemed necessary, such as signing off on the final state of accounts.

We are our customers' accountant: closing their books every month faster, cheaper, and more accurately than any traditional firm, with answers on their accounts 24/7.

Approaching 100 customers across the UK and Denmark, growing 40% MoM. Just raised $4.7M seed led by Google Ventures. London HQ (Farringdon) + Copenhagen office.

The Role

We are looking for Founding GTMs and AEs helping to own and drive go-to-market end to end. You'll talk to customers, bring them on board, and obsess over every point of conversion, but just as much, you'll figure out what we sell next and how. Testing channels, validating problems, finding new ways to grow, and dragging what you learn straight back to engineering.

This is a founding seat. You build the engine, not inherit it.

What you'll actually do

  • Talk to customers and bring them on board. You're the first real conversation people have with Balance.
  • Obsess - ruthlessly - over conversion. Every stage of the funnel, every drop-off, every reason a deal stalls.
  • Hunt for growth. New channels, new segments, new motions. You test, you measure, you double down on what works and kill what doesn't.
  • Validate problems in the field. You're closest to the customer, so you're the first to know what's broken and what they'll pay for.
  • Close the loop with engineering. What you hear shapes what we build. You're the pipe between the market and the product.
  • Play a big role, fast. Small team, lots of surface area, no waiting around for permission.

What we're looking for

  • You've done commercial work before and you're good at it. SaaS, services, B2B, what matters is you know how to turn conversations into customers.
  • You're hungry and self-directed. Nobody's going to hand you a playbook, because there isn't one yet. You write it.
  • You're sharp on numbers and allergic to vanity metrics. Conversion rate is your scoreboard.
  • You can talk to SMB owners and finance teams like a peer, not a vendor.
  • Hiring across both UK and Denmark.

Accounting or finance background is a bonus, not a requirement. We'll teach you the domain. We can't teach the instinct to build and grow.
