Job Description

As a Developer Intern at Brickanta you'll be embedded directly in our product and engineering team — working alongside engineers, contributing to real product workstreams, and shipping code that reaches customers.

This is not a shadow role. You'll have ownership, access to context, and the chance to work on projects that matter. We're eleven people. There isn't a layer between you and the work.

What you'll do

  • Feature development on existing and upcoming product workstreams
  • Bug fixing, code review participation and testing
  • Integration work — APIs, third-party tools, data pipelines
  • Documentation and technical write-ups

You might be a fit if

  • You're studying or recently graduated in computer science, software engineering or similar — or you have equivalent experience through projects, self-study or work
  • You're proficient in Python and/or JavaScript/TypeScript
  • You're familiar with RESTful APIs, data pipelines and systems integration
  • You have working knowledge of databases and SQL
  • You're comfortable with Git and modern development workflows
  • You're comfortable with AI tooling like Claude Code and Codex — we operate as an AI-first company
  • You have a builder mentality: you take ownership, move fast and care about craft
  • You write clearly. At Brickanta, writing creates clarity and everything important gets documented
  • You work transparently — you share context, flag blockers early, and contribute to a shared source of truth
  • You're curious and hungry to learn, and you push to understand how and why things work

Familiarity with Docker or Kubernetes is a bonus, not a requirement. Background or hands-on experience in construction is a strong plus for at least one of the positions.

We care more about what you've built than where you studied.

How we evaluate

  • Show us what you've built — repos, demos, side projects, shipped products
  • Product sense: can you reason from user pain to solution to measurable outcome
  • You move fast and care about craft
  • You communicate clearly and write things down

The practical details

On-site in Stockholm at Linnégatan 89B. Compensation is equivalent to a full CSN stipend, so you can focus fully on the internship. Perks include the office, snacks and team summer events.

Work period starts May/June 2027, with the option to begin part-time earlier if you're keen and your schedule allows. Full-time through the summer, finishing in August. High performers may be offered an ongoing full-time or part-time role afterwards.

Process

Intro call, 15–20 minutes. A short home assignment that reflects the kind of work you'd be doing. Then come to the office, see how we work and meet the people you'd be building with. An offer letter follows once all steps are complete. Quick feedback at every stage — we don't let candidates wait.
