Job Description

Company

Karumi is building a world where software explains and sells itself. We build AI agents that interact with real products in real time—joining video calls with prospects, navigating a product in a real browser, and delivering the “aha moment” instantly.

Role

We’re hiring a Founding Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE) to own end-to-end customer rollouts of Karumi: configuring, deploying, and operating our AI agent in real customer environments.

This is a hands-on, high-ownership role for someone early in their career with strong technical instincts who enjoys troubleshooting and wants deep exposure to how modern AI products get implemented and operated in production.

Location: New York, NY (will consider candidates physically in the San Francisco Bay Are and in Madrid, Spain, particularly if open to relocation)

What you’ll do

  • Roll out Karumi for new customers: setup, configuration, validation, and ongoing maintenance
  • Perform QA and troubleshooting to ensure reliability and a great end-user experience
  • Adapt Karumi to different customer workflows, UIs, and edge cases
  • Use lightweight scripting/automation to improve internal implementation tools and reduce manual work
  • Capture product feedback from hands-on deployments and customer interactions; communicate insights to product/engineering
  • Help define best practices for implementing and operating Karumi at scale

What we’re looking for

  • 1–3 years in Forward Deployed / Implementation Engineering, QA/testing, or solutions engineering
  • Engineering mindset: you enjoy debugging systems, finding root causes, and optimizing how things work
  • Strong attention to detail and a quality-first approach
  • Empathy for users and ability to translate real-world issues into clear product feedback
  • BS/MS in CS/Engineering/STEM (or equivalent practical experience)
  • Scripting, automation, or coding experience or willingness to learn
  • Comfort working directly with customers in technical contexts
  • Interest in AI-driven products and real-world deployments

Why join

  • Learn a ton about how modern AI systems are built, deployed, and operated in production
  • High impact early—your work directly affects customer success and product quality
  • Fast-moving team where ownership and problem-solving matter more than titles
  • Opportunity to grow into engineering, product, solutions, or customer-facing paths
