Job Description

AI-4AI is inviting passionate, skilled, and proactive individuals to join our growing volunteer network and contribute to initiatives that support our mission and strategic objectives.

We are seeking individuals with relevant skills, professional experience, and a willingness to contribute their expertise across key organisational functions. Volunteers will support specific projects, take ownership of assigned tasks, and work towards clearly defined deliverables and timelines.

Available areas of contribution include:

1. Strategy & Organisational Growth: Supporting strategic planning, organisational development, growth initiatives, and long-term sustainability.

2. Finance & Operations: Supporting financial planning, budgeting, financial reporting, resource management, and operational efficiency.

3. Project Coordination & Reporting: Coordinating projects, tracking milestones, monitoring deliverables, and preparing project and impact reports.

4. AI Literacy Programme: Supporting the planning, coordination, and execution of AI literacy initiatives, educational outreach, and learning programmes.

5. Community Growth & Engagement: Developing strategies to grow, engage, and retain community members through meaningful activities and initiatives.

6. Fundraising & Partnerships: Identifying funding opportunities, developing sponsorship proposals, engaging potential donors, and building strategic partnerships.

7. AI Governance: Contributing to AI governance research, policy development, responsible AI initiatives, and stakeholder engagement.

8. Advisory Board Development: Supporting advisory board research, member identification, structural development, and the definition of roles and responsibilities.

9. Recruitment & Automation: Improving volunteer recruitment, onboarding, internal workflows, and identifying opportunities for process automation.

General Requirements

• Relevant professional experience, academic background, or demonstrated interest in the selected area.

• Strong communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.

• Strong sense of initiative, accountability, and ownership.

• Ability to commit to agreed project timelines and deliverables.

• A genuine interest in artificial intelligence and its development across Africa.
