Role Description The Construction Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Caguas, responsible for overseeing and coordinating construction activities from planning through execution. Day-to-day tasks include reviewing and interpreting construction drawings, supporting project design and engineering decisions, and ensuring work is completed in accordance with specifications, codes, and safety standards. The role involves conducting site inspections, monitoring progress, and collaborating closely with project managers, field supervisors, subcontractors, and clients to address technical issues and maintain project timelines. The Construction Engineer will also assist with resource planning, heavy equipment utilization, quality control, and documentation to support project reporting and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong Construction Engineering and Civil Engineering skills to support project planning, design review, and technical decision-making.
• Candidates should possess the ability to interpret and work with Construction Drawings, including plans, specifications, and related documentation.
• Candidates should possess skills in Inspection and quality control to verify compliance with safety regulations, building codes, and project requirements.
• Candidates should possess familiarity with Heavy Equipment operations and coordination to ensure safe and efficient use on site.
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience in construction project delivery.
• Knowledge of local building codes, safety standards, and regulatory requirements in Puerto Rico.
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse project teams.
• Proficiency in common engineering and construction software tools (e.g., CAD, project management platforms) is highly beneficial.
• Ability to work on-site in Caguas, manage multiple priorities, and adapt to changing project conditions.
